Campfire Pizza Recipe

This is a simple and easy way to make pizza over a roaring hot campfire but you do need a pie iron but if you don’t have a pie iron I found a great pizza recipe from a outdoor adventure blogger, Paul – Mr. Adventure as he’s known on Twitter, that can be made using your camping stove.

Pizza made over the camp fire

Pizza or spaghetti sauce
2 slices of Wheat bread
Mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni or any other favorite toppings you may like

Using the pie iron, take two slices of bread, put sauce on one slice of bread. Top with Mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni. Place other slice of bread on top and butter outer sides of both slices of bread. Put sandwich into pie iron and place in coals of fire. Cook until bread is toasted.

You can also make this at home or if you’re in an RV camping. Just place each slice of bread on a cookie sheet with buttered sides down, add sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Now here’s a video for a great pizza recipe done over the stove so you could make this cheesy pizza camping or backpacking.

Yummy!! Enjoy! 🙂
