My Favorite Things
Joby GorillaPod Tripod
I love this tripod because it wraps around everything and anything, prefect for those who hike alone but still want pictures of yourself in the shot. I think it’s better than a selfie stick and goes everywhere. Lightweight, easy to pack and ready to go. For digital camera and cell phones but the cell phone adapter is sold seperately.
Sony DSCW800/B 20.1 MP Digital Camera
For the price you can’t beat this small but mighty point and shot camera. It’s 20.1 pixel which is unheard of in point and shot cameras. I just got it so still playing around with it, a more detailed review is coming. If you just want a simple, easy to carry camera that takes awesome pictures this is for you. Over 1,500 reviews at over at Amazon with a 4 star rating.
Remote Control for cell phones
I love having a remote control for my cell phone. Again, I like being able to be in the picture and sometimes the self timer doesn’t allow for enough time to get the shot right so this works for me. It’s compatible with all cellphones.
Osprey Questa Day Pack
I got this day pack last year for Christmas and it goes everywhere with me. Love all the compartments, a place for everything. There’s even a whistle on the chest strap, how cool is that. I have my Hike Like A Woman sticker on my pack (see below) and it’s holding up on my many adventures so far, Love it!
Fit and Fresh Chilled Containers
These neat little containers are great for short hikes or walks. They keep your fruit or sandwich cool by providing a ice pack top (see photo below) Things don’t stay ice cold but good enough to eat. I use mine for work as well and for long drives or traveling. Check out their website for colorful lunch bags, bottles and other containers. I’m very happy with my set. Fits nicely into my Osprey Day Pack.
Northside Burke II Sandals
Love these sandals for hiking/walking and any kind of water activity. The sole is thick enough for easy hiking terrain. I’m still wearing mine and it’s almost December. Northside also makes hiking shoes which I just ordered. Can’t wait to try them out. The price is right because hiking shoes can be expensive so I’ll be doing a review to see if they stand up to my standards, stay tuned. See below for the hiking shoes.

Small Adventure Journal for kids – it’s prefect for the small adventurer in your life. I got this for my grandson and he loves it. It’s loaded with tons of activities for kids while out in the wild. Check out my short video below to see what’s inside.
Nature Walk Journal – This is for those of us who do want lots of pages to write on. It also has tips, animal tracks, cloud formations and a list of America National Parks. Check out the Amazon reviews, someone has taken a picture of all the pages so you can get a feel for what’s inside. It’s small and can easily fit into your pack or purse. I’m using mine to keep a list of all the awesome trails I’m exploring and my thoughts on each one. I may turn it into a book someday 🙂
