This is a camping recipe that calls for beef but you don’t have to use beef. It can be turkey, chicken, meatballs or I’ve seen a recipe for Tofu Stroganoff, a great choice for those looking for a vegetarian camping recipe.
Easy Beef Stroganoff
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 2 – 4 people
2 tsp Butter or Margarine
1/2 cup Onion,Chopped
1/4 cup Water
1 lb Beef Cubes
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup Sour Cream
Melt butter or margarine in skillet. Brown beef cubes or whatever meat you are using in the melted butter or margarine. Add onion and brown. Stir in soup, water, sour cream. Cover and cook over low heat about 45 minutes, or until meat is tender. Stir frequently. Serve over your choice of hot noodles or rice. Yum!
The cool thing about this recipe is you can also make this at home, its easy and quick. If you make your own cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup, which is an alternative if you don’t like mushrooms, use them as part of the sauce for a healthy camping recipe.
